2009 Minuteman National Historical Park

2009 Minuteman National Historical Park – Sunday, June 21, 3:00 pm

The Concord Band will perform a free afternoon concert at Minute Man National Historical Park in Concord on June 14 (rain date June 21). This year marks the 50th anniversary of both the Concord Band and Minute Man National Historical Park. This concert marks the return of the Band to the site where it performed many summer concerts in the 1970s and 1980s. The program will feature Flowing Pens from Concord by Roger Cichy, based on the writings of four Concord authors: Hawthorne, Louisa May Alcott, Thoreau, and Emerson. The piece was commissioned by the Band and premiered at the Band’s 50th Anniversary Concert.
