The Concord Band mourns the death of long-time trumpeter,
CG Lower, who passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2022.
He had been excited about being able to see the music on the music
stand again following cateract surgery,
and was looking forward to this year's return of the Concord Band to
an in-person season at Fruitlands.
Ironically, the last piece he played was “Taps” for
the Taps Across America National Moment of Remembrance on Memorial
CG performed and conducted in everything from marching band halftime
shows and parades, drum corps performances, fife corps musters, high
school and community theater musicals, assorted Town Band concerts,
church performances and private lessons with students of all ages and
abilities — he was absolutely masterful in tailoring lessons
to each individual.
