Celebrate Independence Day with the Concord Band
CONCORD, MA June 23, 2005
Celebrate America's 229th birthday with the Concord Band.
The band will perform two concerts that will include popular patriotic
marches, a musical salute to the Armed Forces, and traditional American
music.
On Monday, July 4 at 3:00 PM, the Concord Band will perform a free
concert at Picnic in the Park at Emerson Field in Concord, MA.
On Thursday, July 7 at 7:30 PM the band will perform at Fruitlands Museum
in Harvard.
The Fruitlands Museum gates open at 5:00 PM.
Bring a picnic supper or purchase grilled items and snacks on site.
Parking is $12.00 per car, $10.00 for Museum Members.
The Concord Band, founded in 1959, is one of the leading community
concert bands in the United States. It is well known for its innovative
programming and the exceptional quality of its commissioned pieces. It
presents both formal and Pops concerts throughout the year. Its summer
concerts at Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, Massachusetts, are attended by
more than 5,000 people each year. The band's Music Director is
Dr. William G. McManus.
