Concord Band Concert Features Broadway Hits
CONCORD, MA June 25, 2005
The Concord Band summer concert series at Fruitlands Museum continues
this week on Thursday, June 30 with hits from Broadway.
This week, the Concord Band concerts will feature the music from popular
shows currently on Broadway.
The band will perform music from Mama Mia!, Rent, Phantom of the Opera,
and The Lion King.
The concert begins at 7:30 PM.
The Fruitlands Museum gates open at 5:00 PM.
Bring a picnic supper or purchase grilled items and snacks on site.
Parking is $12.00 per car, $10.00 for Museum Members.
The Concord Band, founded in 1959, is one of the leading community
concert bands in the United States. It is well known for its innovative
programming and the exceptional quality of its commissioned pieces. It
presents both formal and Pops concerts throughout the year. Its summer
concerts at Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, Massachusetts, are attended by
more than 10,000 people each year. The band's Music Director is
Dr. William G. McManus.
